The British Boxing Board of Control have released the circular for upcoming British Title fights.
At Heavyweight Sam Sexton and Martin Rogan do it again, with the hope we can get a result with no contraversey. Nathan Cleverly and Danny McIntosh will be a good fight, and British Boxers Website tip Cleverly the Welsh brainbox for the top.
Fight of the year could well be next weeks under card fight to the Amir Khan, Kotenlik bill in Manchester. When Matthew Hall fights Anthony Small for the vacant British and the Commonwealth light Middleweight titles.
Manchester’s John Murray against Jonathan Thaxton, again could be a classic and should tell us if Murray is ready for the next level in his promising fight career, or if his rumoured lifestyle out of the ring, relates to the problems in him making the weight for his last fight, thus being stripped of his British Title. Thaxton always comes to fight and again this could be a cracker!
We are tipping Herts, Flyweight Ashley Sexton to have a good year starting with his fight against Andy Bell, although Bell can give a good performance when he is in the mood, again another good fight for us to look forward to. Keep the fights coming promoters. Lets put the Great back in to the British Title, when the lonsdale belt was held with esteme and everybody knew who the British Champion was.
