“He’s rough and tough and a little bit shorter than me, like Abraham,” Froch explained.
“It could be a benefit if I could get some sparring with Paul Smith. He deserves to be British Champion.” He added
Froch 33, a former British Champion himself, has been impressed with the Liverpool boxer’s recent tussle’s with fellow scouser’s Tony Dodson and Tony Quigley at Liverpool’s Dockland’s Echo Arena.
Paul Smith vs Tony Dodson
“I’m impressed with his persistence and his commitment to stay focused under pressure and do what he has to do.”
Froch knows only a win would help him reach the semi-finals of the Super Six tournament and will do anything and everything in his power so give himself any advantage possible.
Carl Froch vs Mikkel Kessler
A victory over the 30 year-old German-Armenian could set up a possible return with the man who took away his WBC Title, Mikkel Kessler and Froch would relish the rematch.
“After I beat Abraham I’ve got Mikkel Kessler in America, there’s a fight I’m looking forward too and I don’t think Mikkel Kessler is looking forward to it.”
