Former WBU Crusierweight Champ could join Sauerland event.
Maccarinelli: back in contention

Former WBU Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Maccarinelli is the lastest fighter to be asked by Sauerland Events about the possibility of joining their Cruiserweight Super-Six tournament.

Wlodarczyk: WBC Champ

Three fighters have already been confirmed for the tournament which should start in early 2011, WBO Title Holder Marco Huck, IBF Champion Steve Cunningham and WBC Champ Krzysztof Wlodarczyk are rumoured to be the three fighters on board with negotiations ongoing with Denis Lebedev and Yoan Pablo Hernandez.

WBA Champion Guillermo Jones also could be a possibility if they can get him back in the ring and Australian Roy Jones Jr conqueror Danny Green is another name being banded about.

Sauerland are basing their tournament around the fact the lots of people would warm to a rematch between Marco Huck and American Steve Cunningham but there would be some great contest along the way if the big names can be secured.

For Maccarinelli, it would be an amazing turn around after a lot of people wrote him off following his two bad knockout defeats in 2009 against Ola Afolabi and Lebedev but since then he has comeback with three first round KO victories and claimed the European Title.

Sauerland should make an announcement in the coming weeks.
