James DeGale and Carl Dilks swapped insults ahead of their British super-middleweight title eliminator this weekend.

.
The pair meet at the LG Arena, Birmingham, on September 18 as part of Frank Warren‘s Magnificent Seven show.
.
And it could be a fiery encounter if the press conference is anything to go by.
.
“I will knock Carl Dilks out,” said DeGale. “I’ll do it inside eight rounds.
.
“He’s a dangerous fighter, I’ve seen him on tape. But I’m definitely a few levels above Dilks and people will see that on September 18.”
.
But Dilks hit back by saying: “James has under-estimated me.
.
“There is a world of difference between the amateur game and the pro side of things.
.
“He’s finally going to meet someone who is going to hit him back.
.
“Like James I don’t think this fight is going to go the distance, but it will be me who will win by knock out.”
.
DeGale also said he would like to win the British title by the end of the year.
 .
It is currently held by Paul Smith, but he could vacate after his next defence in October.
.
“I can definitely be fast-tracked,” said DeGale. “I can even be pushed harder than Amir Khan.
.
“I always said that I wanted to win the British title by the end of 2010, and the world title by the end of 2012, and I am on course to do that.”
