David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko came face to face today at a press conference in Hamburg Germany to promote the pairs July 2nd heavyweight unification fight and they wasted no time in continuing their pre-fight verbals.
Britain’s WBA heavyweight champion Haye (25-1, 23KO’s) was doing what he says is his favorite hobby at the moment, – ‘Winding up Klitschko’ – refusing to shake the Ukrainians hand and claiming, he is not fooled by Wladimir.
“I have seen his style and seen what he does in the ring and he is a fraud,” said Haye at the presser.
“I know what he is about. Even when I was a cruiserweight I believed I could have knocked him out.
“For the first time he’s fighting someone who’s healthy, he normally picks people who are injured or coming off a long layoff. I’m a prime athlete in my peak coming off a nice long streak of spectacular victories. He wears big shoulder pads in his gown and picks guys who suit him perfectly but I am not fooled.”
Klitschko, 35, (55-3, 49 KO’s) who is the WBO, IBF and IBO belt holder hit back by saying he wants to teach Haye a lesson for snubbing him and is confident he will make Haye his 50th knockout victim and wants the Londoner to send a ‘Tweet’ to his fans, to let them know it!
“I believe a very good lesson it is going to be on July 2nd, how to respect. and you know what, I really respect you, your a tremendous fighter, your a knock’outer. said Klitschko.
“Your record is very impressive. So I make sure that I prepare for this fight accordingly…. “You do a lot of tweeting, (Twitter) right.. Well you can send this to all your followers later: ‘Wladimir said that David Haye is going to be my 50th knockout.”
