English champion Adil Anwar added the Prizefighter light-welterweight trophy to his resume on Saturday night beating fellow Yorkshireman Tyrone Nurse in the final of another exciting dose of the 8 man, 1 night tournament at the Civic Hall, in Wolverhampton.

Anwar beat Barry Morrison in their quarter-final on points, then put on a impressive display in the semi-final victory over John Watson, before edging Nurse in the final to take the £32,000 winners cheque.

Nice guy Anwar, 24, from Leeds has put himself right in the British title picture and the Prizefighter has propelled him into the spotlight, and this underrated prospect, who has been avoided over the last couple of years, will hope to get a shot at Ashley Theophanes Lonsdale belt this year.
In the video above Anwar gives a post-fight interview to Kugan Cassius for iFilm London straight after his win.
