Kell Brook proved he is nearing a world title shot, with a comfortable and controlled, boxing display against British welterweight rival Matthew Hatton at the Motorpoint Arena in his home town of Sheffield on Saturday night.

Brook, 25, claimed a clear unanimous points decision over the Mancunian to move himself even closer to an inevitable world title shot later this year and a fight with another British foe, Amir Khan..

Brook, now with a 27-0 (18KOs) record couldn’t and didnt switch off for a second against the determined, but mainly out classed Hatton, Brook had all the answers to anything Hatton tried and stayed in control throughout the fight.

The final scores read: 118-109, 119-108 and 119-107.

After the fight Brook called out Khan when speaking to iFilmLondon’s Kugan Cassius after the ‘War Of The Roses’ clash.
