James DeGale’s next EBU defence in the pipeline

London’s James DeGale is currently in negotiations to defend his EBU super middleweight title against Mouhamed Ali “The Power” Ndiaye according to the EBU’s latest championship notices. DeGale successfully defended his belt with a fourth-round stoppage of Cristian Sanavia in Denmark on April 21; the 26-year-old southpaw is 12-1 (9) and has regrouped well since May 2011′s tight majority decision defeat to local rival
George Groves. Nidaye, 32, defended his EBU-EU belt courtesy of a ninth-round corner retirement win over Jose Maria Guerrero on May 26; the Italy-based, Senegal-born boxer holds a 22-1 (13) record and will present “Chunky” with a stiff test.
