Bolton’s Amir Khan weighed in yesterday for tonights unification showdown at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada, against WBC champion Danny Garcia.

Khan came in at 9st 13lbs.
Garcia came in exactly the same 9st 13lbs.

Both Light-welterweight champions, Garcia the WBC titleist and Khan the newly crowned WBA belt holder weighed in a pound under the 10-stone limit for tonight’s big clash that will determine the No1 in the division.
Garcia and his dad Angel, tried to goad our boy again at the weigh in, as they had at the pre-fight press conferences, with Garcia trying to intimidate Khan by jumping in his face and facing off with him, while his dad and trainer punched his own chin to taunt Khan’s fans that he is chinny, but Khan kept calm and wasn’t intimidated. watch video above for full weigh in footage.
The British fans of Khan have turned out in their droves making the trip over to support their man at the Events Center in Mandalay Bay where the fight will take place and his supporters will far outnumber that of Garcia’s tonight.
Amir can pull off a good win here against the unbeaten Garcia, establishing himself as the unified champion, with big fights in the pipeline if he comes through. But Khan must not get careless and involved or taken off his gameplan, by any tactics designed to unsettle him by the Garcia camp.
Garcia’s crude gesturing at the pressers bordered on the edge of nonsense and has been embarrassing and sickly to watch, lets hope Khan can have the Garcia’s reaching for the sick bucket and should do that around the end of the contest.
Prediction 10th round stoppage for Khan.
