Former British and European champion and world title challenger Pat Barrett who once worked coaching Tyson Fury a few years back and is a close friend of the Fury family, has picked his fellow Mancunian to defeat former heavyweight champion of the world David Haye should the pair meet in a proposed September Showdown this year.

Barrett told BritishBoxers: “If Tyson gets side on behind that left jab and throws a straight one two, then it could be an hard fight for David Haye.

“I’m slightly gonna go with Tyson Fury because, he’s young, he’s up for it and sometimes when you go for the best it brings the best out in you aswell and I think that’s what will happen with Tyson.

“He’ll be up for this fight and I think with his uncle Peter training him, he’s got the right idea on how to bring the best out of him, so yeah I’m going with Tyson.”
