R.I.P Glyn Leach, former editor of Boxing Monthly

In terribly sad and shocking news, it has been reported how Glyn Leach, the long-time editor of excellent U.K publication Boxing Monthly, has passed away at the young age of just 52. Tributes have been pouring in, mostly via Twitter, from some of the biggest names in not only British but world boxing.

Jamie Moore (who is still recovering from being shot in both legs whilst in Marbella), Lou DiBella, Barry McGuigan and fellow writers Claude Abrams and Graham Houston are in shock at losing a man they all considered a true friend.

Editor of Boxing Monthly since way back in 1992, Glyn always worked as hard as he could, ensuring a great, packed issue each month. Personally, I will always be grateful to Glyn for kindly using some of my work in his magazine some years back.

Recently, Glyn was a regular on BoxNation T.V channel’s weekly show “Boxing Matters,” this despite that fact that Glyn at one time said he “did not do T.V.” With his vast knowledge and his easygoing manner, Glyn was a natural for the show.

He will indeed be sorely missed and at this time all at would like to send out condolences to his friends and family.
