Lightweight prospect Kofi Yates says losing his 7th fight to Ben Wager did him far more good than harm. Yates, 22, says the loss helped him ‘Grow up’ and spurned him on to never make the same mistakes again in preparation, putting down his slack performance to weight making issues.

He was back in the ring three weeks after that close 4 round reverse to Wager and as since had three good wins on the bounce including that impressive 2nd KO over Osin Fagin in Dublin last month.

Kofi speaks to British Boxers about the defeat, his career to date, a potential rematch with Wager and the future, including his training camps in Manchester and Spain.
