Born in Dulwich, South London on 8th August 1966, Christopher Livingstone Eubanks (later Eubank after opting to drop the “s” from his surname) held WBO World titles at both Middleweight and Super Middleweight in what some call the “Golden age” of British boxing in the 1990’s.

Eubank engaged in what many feel is the greatest all British fight of all time against the ferocious Nigel Benn at the Birmingham NEC Arena on 18th November 1990.

Eubank won the fight in spectacular fashion, neutralizing Benn’s come forward approach with his own heavy right hands and cobination punching. Benn was stopped in round nine by a flurry of shots that signalled Eubank’s entry into world class – company  that Eubank would keep until his 1995 defeat by the “Celtic Warrior” Steve Collins in 1995.

take a moment to enjoy a selection of highlights from the career of the man dubbed “Simply the best.”

Happy Birthday Chris!
