Derek Chisora returned to the ring on Saturday night in Hamburg Germany and scored a 5th round stoppage over Peter Edos in his first fight with new promoters Team Sauerland.
The Londoner who split with Frank Warren after being defeated by the new heavyweight champion Tyson Fury last year in a WBO title eliminator, has had three low key outings in 2015 since the loss to Fury as he looks to get his career back on track.

Del Boy boxed well behind a very good jab against an opponent smaller than himself, Chisora (23-5, 15KOs) is used to punching up in most of his fights. Derek was able to walk forward into range and hook away at his smaller lighter opponent and landed some hurtful clubbing right hands throughout the contest.
Chisora was able to unload at will and tried every shot in the book to wear the Hungarian down. It was a final right hand that forced the referee to call a halt in the 5th after Edos (9-9) had taken a sustained beating too many for his liking and was ready to go from the final back hand. Dos was tough but limited, Chisora dealt with him well and moves on.
On the undercard Reading’s Michael Sprott was knocked out in the first round by Sweden’s Adrian Granat.
