BoxNation’s cameras will be live in Harrow this weekend as Cromer’s Liam Walsh (20-0 14 KO’s) faces tough Russian Andrey Klimov (19-2 9 KO’s) in a final eliminator for the IBF super featherweight title, currently held by Puerto Rico’s Jose Pedraza.
Also on the bill, hometown favourite Mitchell Smith returns to action for the first time since his shock defeat to George Jupp last December whilst on a packed undercard, Tom Baker (14-0 3 KO’s) will defend his English light heavyweight title against Miles Shinkwin (13-1 7 KO’s) and Wythenshawe’s Macaulay McGowan (10-0 1 KO) will face Jez Smith (7-0 3 KO’s) in a clash of unbeaten light middleweight prospects.
Macaulay’s partner recently gave birth to a daughter and with his time occupied by his new fatherly responsibilities and a heavy training and work schedule, he has decided to delegate a little responsibility. Macaulay has agreed that he will allow the fans to choose his entrance music for this weekend’s crunch clash.
Now, if we allowed fans to send in random suggestions, we would end up spending hours collecting the results and working out which track received the most votes. With that in mind, we have drawn up a shortlist.
We decided to let Macaulay’s gym mates Kofi Yates and Ciaran McVarnock each propose a tune and we at British Boxers have also entered a song. In an effort to provide a level playing field, we also let Macaulay make his own suggestion.
So, here are the options. Choose wisely and tune into BoxNation on Saturday night to see if your choice was successful. You can vote at the bottom of the page.
