Chingford’s Ben “Boy” Jones (131lbs) made easy work of Budapest’s Tamas Laska (131lbs) at the Harrow Leisure Centre on tonight’s Frank Warren-promoted show to ease into his November 25th vacant BBBoC Southern Area Super featherweight title against London rival Martin Hillman (7-2, 2 KOs), which takes place at the Bentford Centre.

Laska hails from Hungary, but the 20-year-old lacked the stomach to drag Jones into a fight and was unable to do anything with his 19-year-old opponent.

Jones (10-0-1, 7 KOs) looks like a choirboy, and he plucked plenty of clean punches from the chorus line to force the stoppage at 2:23 of round three. The visitor drops to 11-10-1, (5 early).

“Even if I don’t use my brain in life in general, I certainly use it in the ring,” he said when speaking to Steve Bunce of BoxNation about his performance. “It’s fun,” he added.
