As soon as the dust settled on Tony Bellew’s (28-2-1, 18 KOs) third-round KO win over American’s BJ Flores (32-3-1, 20 early), the defending WBC cruiserweight titlist waded into the crowd to confront David Haye, who he hopes to take on next.

Depsite giving Flores his due, Bellew’s talk turned to Haye during his interview with Sky Sports. “I didn’t want to talk about the bitch over there before the fight,” he fumed.

“I fought for a world title and know what it means to fight for one. Flores is a respected fighter. He is trying to fulfill a childhood dream tonight, and I’ve just pummeled him—that’s what I do.”

“I could have been clinical, but, listen, I’m not called ‘The Bomber’ for nothing,” he added. “The ‘blue bomber’ is here. There ain’t more motivation than getting home to my kids safely—that is the ultimate goal.”

The 33-year-old also poured scorn on Haye’s recent comeback foes, Mark de Mori and Arnold Gjergjaj were blew away in one and two in January and May of this year, but Bellew was not impressed by either win.

“He has been conning the British public with this pathetic comeback of his,” he said, addressing Haye. “Those guys you’ve fought are working in town tonight, either nightclub doors or putting bins away—they’re a joke. You predicted BJ to beat me, but he got smashed. You will get smashed too. You were due to fight Mark Hobson for the British title, but me and Pricey (David Price) smashed you up in sparring and you pulled out the fight. I will put you and that daft, Sponge Bob haircut to sleep.”
