Boxing’s undisputed current pound-for-pound King, American Andre Ward will be part of ITV Box Office’s commentating team for the blockbuster world super middleweight title showdown between Eubank Jnr and Quinlan on February 4th from London’s Olympia.

Ward will come to London fresh off win number 31 following his bruising points victory over Sergey Kovalev in November, a success which secured for the 32-year-old Californian the WBA, WBO and IBF world light heavyweight title belts.

Ward can also boast wins over the likes of Carl Froch, Mikkel Kessler, Chad Dawson, Sako Bika and Arthur Abraham in a stellar unbeaten pro career.

Ward, nicknamed S.O.G ‘Son of God,’ insists he is thrilled at the prospect of commentating on Eubank’s bid to wrestle the IBO world super middleweight title from Aussie Quinlan, who last year knocked out former world champion Daniel Geale inside two rounds.

Ward said: “This is going to be an entertaining fight between two hungry fighters who are both looking to put themselves on the map.

“Chris Eubank Jnr has said he wants fights with some of the big names in the super middleweight division but he will have to get through Renold Quinlan first.

“This is a fresh start for him after an eight month absence from the ring and he will be fighting for the first time under his new promoter. Renold Quinlan is certainly no pushover and doesn’t seem the least bit intimidated about fighting 10,000 miles from home. He doesn’t have the experience Eubank has, but his knockout win over Daniel Geale proved that he is comfortable in the role of an underdog and that he will be coming to fight in his first bout outside his native Australia.

“I think it’s going to be a great fight and I’m looking forward to returning to the UK and stepping behind the mic for the first time for ITV Box Office in their pay-per-view debut.”

Ward will be part of the commentating team for Eubank v Quinlan, live and exclusive on ITV Box Office on February 4th.

Also on the card will be the mouth-watering match-ups between David Price v Christian Hammer, Kid Galahad v Joseph Agbeko, Adam Etches v John Ryder and Andrew Selby v Ardin Diale.
