Anthony Crolla reminded fans this week that he still has plenty of ambition and determination to get his hands on another world title.

Crolla, 30, attempted to become a two time world champion last month (25 March) in a rematch with Jorge Linares, the man who had previously taken his WBA world lightweight title in 2016 via a points decision. Unfortunately for Crolla and British boxing, the rematch ended in the same result.

The Mancunian nice guy Crolla knew what he was up against in Linares a fighter he says he had been an actual fan of. But after sharing the ring with the Venezuelan again he was even more complimentary of his adversary. “I lost to the better man, a better fighter, who is probably going to be a future hall of famer” Crolla told Betsafe.

Asked about his future, Crolla was confident he will earn another world title shot and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of fighting in Las Vegas. “I’m going to rest up, let my injuries heal and later this year will start looking at facing another world title” Crolla added.

“I really believe I’ll have another chance to fight for a title, I have a great team around me, If anyone can deliver it they can.

“I’m very fortunate to have the support that I have.

“America is an attraction, because I believe I’ll take big numbers there.”
