Matthew Ryan (14-1, 2KO) will defend his English Super-welterweight title against the unbeaten Ted Cheeseman (8-0, 6KO) on Saturday night (July 1st) at the O2 Arena in London. The fight will also double as a British title eliminator, and a bright future for the winner!

Ryan, 26, from Manchester, boxing out of the Collyhurst and Moston, under Pat Barrett, claimed the belt when he outpointed Sonny Upton in his home town in March. After that Ryan had a rematch over 6-rounds with the tough William Warburton in May, as a warm up for this defence against Londoner Cheeseman.

The Mancunian has no worries going down to the capital and defending his title against Cheeseman in his backyard, which will be shown live on Sky Sports, and in this video interview, tells British Boxers he is relishing the fight and promises to return back up North still the 154lb champion of England.
