I'm a freelance sports journalist and sports journalism student, and a keen boxing fan who has been following the sport since my early teens. I have written about boxing for the Express & Star newspaper and have work experience at a Premier League football club and non-league football club, and I am now looking to expand my writing portfolio.
My first real memory of being a boxing fan was staying up until the early hours of the morning with some of my family to watch Ricky Hatton's fight with Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas, and since then I have follow the sport very closely. I see a bright future for British boxing with an abundance of talent in our ranks and take great pleasure in covering the sport as much as possible.
My all-time favourite British boxer is Carl Froch - I always enjoyed the way he went out for a fight on the front-foot and how tough he was, whilst my all-time favourite boxer is Floyd Mayweather, Jr. His style was not one I would normally be a massive fan of, but how he perfected it and applied it in each one of his fights to have such a long and successful career is fascinating to me.
