David Haye’s unification fight against Wladimir Klitschko seemed to have taken another step in a positive direction this week, when Klitschko’s personal chef and training camp manager David “Chef” Williams revealed in an online post that a fight with WBA champion Haye is now just “down to date and venue.”

Williams apparently revealed in a telephone conversation, that Klitschko said, “SkySports is being difficult about the date and we have several options on venue that we are both waiting to hear from.”

According to Williams, sites in London and in Germany have been discussed, with both fighters cooperating on looking for the best deal all round for both boxers.

Klitschko went on to say that the fight date “could be April 30 or sometime in May…but I think it will happen.”

Meanwhile Klitschko’s trainer Emanuel Steward has encouraged his fighter to thrash out a deal to fight Haye and to give boxing the boost it needs.
These guys should stop arguing over every nickel and dime and get this fight done, It’s gotta be 50-50 all the way. Get this fight signed as soon as possible for the good of boxing.” Emanuel Steward.
Lets hope 2011 brings about the heavyweight unification clashes the heavyweight division and boxing overall needs.
