Simpson, British Champ again |
Paul Edwards took Shinny Bayaar’s British Flyweight title in unfortunate circumstances, when the fight was stopped when Bayaar suffered a terrible cut, after a clash of heads. The cut was too bad for Bayaar to continue and the referee called the fight off, to Edwards delight.
Bayaar will be looking for a rematch in the new year to try and win his title back. The undefeated Edwards, is now 7-0.
Olympic bronze medallist Tony Jeffries was made to fight and was ruffed up knocked around himself in the first round before knocking out Belfast’s Tommy Tolan in the 2nd round.
Jeffries realised he had to get the job done quickly, when a clash of heads opened a bad cut above his left eye. and by how bad it was, the referee wouldn’t have allowed him to carry on for much longer, then he opened up to drop Tolan with a good straight right that dropped the Belfast man.
Luke Wilton out-scored Usman Hamed 59-55 over 6 rounds , scoring a knockdown, to avenge a previous defeat to Hamed.
