“I’m the best young heavy weight in the world if you want to prove me wrong contact Hennessy Sports and let’s get it on I’ll fight anyone in boxing in a winner takes all fight in any country let’s get it on..”

Tyson Fury, English heavyweight champion.

Tyson Fury the current English heavyweight champion from Manchester, has sent out a challenge to all heavyweight fighters in the world, that he is willing to step in the ring with any of them for a winner takes all purse.

But while applications are being processed! Fury will take on experienced southpaw American Galen Brown (33-15-1-22kos) on Saturday night on the undercard of the Jean Pascal versus Bernard Hopkins bill in Quebec, Canada.

Former ABA amateur champion, and unbeaten in 12 pro fights, Fury has moved his training camp from Manchester to Canada and as just completing a three-week training camp in Austria with heavyweight world champion Wladimir Klitschko, who had been preparing for his fight with Dereck Chisora on Saturday, before pulling out of the fight through injury.
And Fury says the of experience of sparring with Klitschko really as opened his eyes to what a world level is all about.

“It was a great experience and opened my eyes as what being at a world-title level is all about,” said Fury.

“He is a very nice fellow, helpful and a great boxer. I’ve had some great sparring in recent weeks, both in Austria and Detroit, so there will be no excuses on Saturday night.

Fury as said in the press this week that he wants to win the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles by the end of 2011, but insists he is no rush to achieve his ultimate goal of being the best in the world.

Fury was originally pencilled in to fight Israel Carlos Garcia, but Garcia pulled out of the fight. But the late change of opponent doesn’t worry Fury in the least, he just wants to get in the ring and fight anyone that’s put in front of him.

“It’s not a problem,” said 6ft 7in Fury (12-0 9KOs). “He pulled out on Saturday but there is plenty of time to get a replacement in. There is no danger of me not being on the bill.”

Fury last fought, on September 10 in a fight that was arranged to be broadcast in America, to give the curious US fight fans a look at the ‘Baddest Man on the planet’s’ name sake Mike Tyson, who Fury was named after by his Dad who was a big fan.

Fury dominated the fight and outpointed the previously undefeated Rich Power for an eight-round unanimous decision. But it wasn’t a good performance that night and Fury felt he had let himself and his fans down with the performance, so much so he posted a Facebook comment, that hinted that he might consider quiting the game, such was the disappointment of his display!

With soul searching to do, Fury re-grouped, moved away training camp and has got the bit back between his teeth for a fight, after completing a three-week training camp in Austria with heavyweight world champion Wladimir Klitschko, who had been preparing for his fight with Dereck Chisora on Saturday, and his new trainer Emanuel Steward.

“It was a great experience and opened my eyes as what being at a world-title level is all about,” said Fury.

“He is a very nice fellow, helpful and a great boxer. I’ve had some great sparring in recent weeks, both in Austria and Detroit, so there will be no excuses on Saturday night.

“It has been a good year and fighting on a bill like this will be a great experience for me,” said Fury.

“It was all about being in the right place at the right time. My promoters, Hennessy Sports, are friends with the promoters in Canada and it went from there.

“I’m just grateful that I have a chance to showcase my skills and then I’ll look to make my mark in 2011.

“I hope to win the British and Commonwealth titles. I want to be more busy and fight once a month if I can.

“I’d like to take the traditional route in winning the British belt, then Commonwealth and then world. But if a chance came along to fight for a world title, like it did for Chisora, then I’d take it obviously.

“I’m confident I’ll be a world champion one day, but I’m in no rush. I’m still learning my trade and I know time is on my side.

“When a world-title shot comes along I want it to be in my time and on my terms … there’s no hurry.”
