Prince Arron
Prince
Arron’s boxing career has had many ups and downs, the 6′ 3” former British
title holder was thrown in against the likes of Anthony Small, L TKO 2, and
John Duddy, L TKO 2, before turning his career around under the guidance of
former coach Bob Shannon. A 2010 Prizefighter win catapulted Arron up the
rankings, his British title win over Sam Webb completed a remarkable turnaround
only for the newly crowned champion to lose his belt in his maiden defence
after being out-pointed by Blackpool’s Brian Rose. Now training under Steven
Bell and Kerry Kayes, Arron hopes to get back among the titles in 2012.

Steven Bell
was a hugely successful amateur. “Bellos” was part of the English amateur team
and came through with Carl Froch, Audley Harrison and David Haye. A two-time
ABA featherweight titlist, in 1997 and 2001, Bell turned pro as a Super
featherweight in 2003 and retired with an 18-3-2 (5) record after losing to
Gary Buckland in 2010’s Prizefighter: The Super featherweights.

Stevie Bell –  ‘Bellios’
Bell now works
out of Kerry Kayes’s CNP-sponsored gym and the two have named their camp The
Phoenix as a tribute to Billy Graham, who trained Ricky Hatton in the same
premises and was once Bell’s coach.

Kerry
Kayes rose to prominence in the bodybuilding world, winning the British title
in 1994, and his expertise on nutrition and strength conditioning attracted the
attention of Billy Graham, who brought Kayes onboard as Ricky Hatton’s strength
and nutritional coach. Kayes also worked with the rest of Graham’s thriving
stable. Hatton won world titles at light-welter and welterweight before parting
company with Graham.
Kerry Kayes
Kayes opened
up his gym to local trainer Joe Gallagher after Graham’s retirement and
welcomed more champions into his Denton loft. Gallagher has since move on,
Steven Bell used the gym to do personal training in the evenings and has now
joined forces with Kayes and Arron as the three seek to write another chapter
in their mutual boxing stories.
