For the first time in history women will be allowed to box at the Olympics. England will send three of their boxers from the GB women’s team to compete and earn a place at London 2012. 

The forth coming World Championships which will decide if our three boxers have a place at the Olympics will be held in Qinhuangdao, China (11-20 May 2012).

England’s boxers set to compete in the event are Leeds’ European Champion, Nicola Adams, Savannah Marshall from Hartlepool and Liverpool’s Natasha Jonas. 

Lisa Whiteside will also travel to compete at the event but will not be competing to earn her place at London 2012.
