On The Rise

The line-up for Hatton Promotions, in association with Black Country Boxing, six-fight show at Walsall FC’s Banks’s Stadium next week is almost complete.

‘On The Rise’, sponsored by Grosvenor Casino Walsall, features a dozen undefeated boxers and takes place in the Stadium Suite next Friday, 2nd September.

Unbeaten Halesowen super middleweight, Lennox Clarke (12-0), tops the bill. The 25 year-old is in knock-out form and will be looking to put Lithuanian, Vaidas Balciauskas, to the sword when the pair lock horns.

Nantwich’s Nathan Gorman (4-0) warms up for his Central Area Heavyweight Title showdown with David Howe in Stoke on 1st October with an eight round outing against Croatian Ivica Perkovic. The 42 year-old is a veteran of over 50 fights and has been in with the likes of Kubrat Pulev, Erkan Tepur and Gary Cornish.

Fellow Ricky Hatton trained prospect, Reuben Arrowsmith (6-0), is also in action. The Market Harborough welterweight has yet to be matched.

Tewksbury middleweight, Adam Harper (5-0), fights outside of Gloucestershire for the first time as he steps in with Russian born Andrej Cepur.

‘The Hurricane’ put in a career best performance in his hometown last month to defeat Lithuanian Deividas Sajauka and claim the International Challenge Middleweight Title.

Swadlincote super middleweight, Zach Parker (6-0), faces the man who bill topper Clarke knocked out in 14 seconds – Raimonds Sniedze. However, that doesn’t tell the story of the tough Latvian who has shared a ring with the likes of Tommy Langford and Bradley Pryce during a 41-fight career at the age of just 24.

Completing the card is former Kickboxing World Champion, Kyle Williams (2-0). The Wolverhampton bantamweight takes on a fighter from these shores as he steps in with Doncaster’s Craig Derbyshire

Standard tickets for On The Rise, priced at £30, are available by calling the boxers. £60 VIP tickets for tables of ten, with two-course meal, are available by calling Walsall FC Box Office on 01922 651 414/416.

The weigh-in and aftershow take place at Grosvenor Casino Walsall, Bentley Mill Way, Walsall WS2 0LE (just off junction 10 of the M6). Grosvenor Casino Walsall will have a presence at the Town Hall on the evening and have linked up with local taxi firm, Yellow Taxi’s, to supply a number of free taxi’s to take guests from the Town Hall to the casino post-fight.
