BritishBoxers can confirm that light-welterweight prospect Jack Catterall (15-0, 7 KO’s) and his long-time trainer Lee Beard have parted ways.

Manchester-based Beard confirmed the news to BritishBoxers earlier today and expressed his belief that Catterall, 23, can go on to achieve what he wants in the sport.

The pair enjoyed a successful run and split with ‘El Gato’ installed as the mandatory challenger for Tyrone Nurse’s British 10st title and enjoying a lofty ranking with the WBO.
