A former WBU world champion Anthony Farnell, aka ‘Arnie’ finished his career in June 2004 with a record of 33-4, 22KOs. He is now a respected trainer who recently was responsible for guiding Paul Butler (21-1, 12KOs) to a world title.
His gym ‘Arnies’ is situated on the second floor of an old warehouse in North Manchester and has a healthy group of pro boxers coming through the ranks under him.
His first world champion Butler recently left after starting his pro career under Arnie and in this interview with BritishBoxers the Mancunian coach speaks about Butler and the parting of ways. He also gives us an update of other boxers in the gym and speaks about the recent Anthony Crolla v Jorge Linares fight. Arnie used to train Crolla in the early part of his pro career.
