The Katie Taylor juggernaut gathered more momentum as the Irish star dominated Viviane Obernauf (9-2, 4KO’s) over six twos.

The Swiss-based Brazilian was game but struggled to keep up with Taylor’s aggression and combination punching. For a fighter in just her second appearance without the headguard, Taylor, 132lbs, already carries herself with great poise. Obernauf, 131 1/2lbs, was floored in the second but popped right back up. She finished with a cut eye but a big smile.

The official score was 60-53.

Taylor (2-0, 1KO’s) attracts a great deal of interest and performances like this should help ensure that her popularity continues to grow once the curiosity factor has worn off.
