The BBBoC released their British and English title circular earlier today to confirm a slew of match-ups and a number of eliminators.

Up at heavyweight, promoter Paul Graham won the right to stage the fight between Sam Sexton and Gary Cornish at a date and venue TBA. The vacant cruiserweight bout between Craig Kennedy and Matty Askin is still on ice due to an injury suffered by Askin. Promoter Blain McGuigan to rearrange at a date and venue TBA.

Frank Buglioni’s maiden defence of his British light-heavyweight belt against Ricky Summers has also been postponed due to an injury suffered by the holder. Eddie Hearn will now reschedule this voluntary defence. The destiny of the vacant Super middleweight belt will be decided on Saturday April 24 in Liverpool after Hearn’s request to match Rocky Fielding and John Ryder for the belt was approved with ‘winner to face Jamie Cox’.

Welterweight holder Bradley Skeete meets Shayne Singleton at the Copper Box in London on May 6, with John O’Donnell and Erick Ochieng fighting an eliminator contest at the York Hall on March 18, the vacant English belt will also be on the line. Light-welterweight holder Tyrone Nurse meets Joe Hughes at the Leicester Arena on April 2017 on a Frank Warren-promoted bill.

The Board also approved Hearn’s request to pit Scott Cardle against Robbie Barrett for Cardle’s British light title. It takes place on April 15 in Glasgow ‘with the winner to box Lewis Ritson’.

Martin Joseph Ward meets Maxi Hughes in a Super featherweight defence at the Manchester Arena on March 25. The stewards also put out the winner Vs Anthony Cacace out to bids, which must be submitted by noon of April 12, ‘the contest to take place by the end of June 2017’. As previously reported on Britishboxers, Ryan Walsh meets Marco McCullough in a featherweight title defence at the Copper Box Arena on May 6 while Reece Bellotti and Dai Davies face off in an eliminator on March 17—Hearn promotes that one and it will take place at the York Hall.

At Super bantamweight, James Dickens is set to defend against Thomas Patrick Ward on May 13 at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on a Warren-promoted bill. Bantmweight titlist Ryan Burnett’s defence against Josh Wale has gone out to bids and they are due in on April 12.

Charlie Edwards meets Iain Butcher in Glasgow on April 15 for the vacant Super flyweight belt. Hearn will promote that one and ‘the winner to waive grace and defend when called upon to do so’.

The vacant heavyweight English belt will be contested by Nathan Gorman and Dominic Akinlade after Tommy Dove won the right to to stage the vacant title fight, date and venue ‘as yet to be advised’.

Joel McIntyre has been ordered to defend his title against Declan Spelman, it has gone out to purse bids and they must be in by April 12. Super middleweight holder Jahmaine Smyle will meet Darly Williams on April 22 at the Leicester Arena. Purse bids were withdrawn for a eliminator between Liam Cameron and Lennox Clarke.

Andy Ayling has won the right to stage middleweight holder Lee Markham’s defence against Joe Mullender, with the date and venue TBA. An eliminator between Matthew Mallin and Marcus Morrison went out to bids but ‘No Purse bids were received for the above eliminator contest’.

Pat Barrett has won the right to stage a fight between Matthew Ryan and Sonny Upton for the vacant light-middleweight belt. The contest will take place on March 24 in Manchester with ‘the winner to waive grace and defend when called upon to do so’. A vacant light-welterweight English title encounter between Philip Bowes and Glenn Foot was sent out to bids.

Olivia Goodwin has won the right to put on Sam Bowen against Michael Devine for the vacant Super featherweight belt. The date and venue are TBA.

Down at featherweight, Lewis Pettitt withdrew from a bid to meet Samir Mouneimne for the vacant belt. The Super bantamweight belt is also vacant, it will be contested by Josh Kennedy and Michael Ramabeletsa at London’s York Hall on a Joshua Goodwin-promoted bill.

Charlie Edwards’s decision to vacant the flyweight title has led to a vacant title fight betwee Jamie Williams and Louis Norman, bids for that one are also due in on April 12.
