Peter Fury is widely respected in the world of heavyweight boxing. After guiding his nephew, Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KO’s), to a sensational win against long reigning champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KO’s) back in November 2015, he is aiming to emulate that success with his 22 year old son Hughie Fury (20-0, 10 KO’s), who takes on unbeaten WBO Heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (22-0, 18 KO’s) in Auckland New Zealand on May 6th.
We caught up with Peter after a tough day of sparring down at Team Fury in Bolton and found the trainer in his element. Peter’s analytical eye and honest take on boxing always make for an enjoyable interview and as well as discussing how far Hughie has come in his career and giving us an update on Tyson, he throws in a few of his usual words of wisdom.
We wish Peter and Hughie all the best in their quest for the biggest prize in boxing on May 6th.
