We visit Peter Fury who embarks back on his first day of camp with his boxers, son Hughie Fury and world ranked unbeaten female star Savanah Marsall.
It’s a new year and also a new gym base for Peter as he kicks off 2019 at his longtime friend Gary Booth’s Salford City Boxing Academy in Irlam Manchester, having left their old premises in Bolton.
After the first session back, we sat down to ask Peter some questions regards Hughie and Savanah’s futures and his plans for their careers going forward.
Peter talks openly about Hughie’s loss to Kubrat Pulev in October in a IBF world title eliminator in Bulgaria, and says they have unfinished business with Pulev and would welcome a return with him.
We get an update about Savannah Marshall and her progression into the top 5 in the world at super-middleweight.
Peter also gives his thoughts on the current heavyweight triangle, between his nephew Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder. Plus the December fight that ended in a draw between Tyson and Wilder in New York.
Also, peter gives his views on the James DeGale vs Chris Eubank Jr, fight and Amir Khan’s big fight against P4P high flyer Terrence Crawford.
In the video we also get an update on a boxer Peter was training until recently, Harj Singh, who as been diagnosed with acute Lympoblastic Leukaemia and is looking for a stem cell donor match.
