Barnsley super-middleweight Callum Simpson (15-0, 10KOs) collides with hard-hitting Steve Woodall (19-2, 12KOs) in defence of his British and Commonwealth super-middleweight titles on Saturday evening.
The pair will trade blows at the Park Community Arena in Sheffield in Sky Sports’ first televised boxing bout of 2025.
Newly-crowned WBC lightweight champion Caroline Dubois (10-0, 5KOs) will also make the first defence of her title against Canadian Jessica Camara (14-4, 3KOs).

Simpson making first defence of British and Commonwealth titles
Simpson ended 2024 with a dream fight at his beloved Barnsley Football Club’s Oakwell Stadium, where he comprehensively outpointed previous titleholder Zak Chelli.
The win marked his first since stepping up to the twelve-round distance and he’s now setting his sights on another impressive victory over a capable challenger this weekend.
Speaking at the fight week press conference, he said: “People can say I might be overhyped or just a ticket seller, but the only way to prove that I’m not all them things is by fighting the best.
“On Saturday night I’m looking forward to proving I’m the real deal.”

Woodall comes into the content on the back of his own career-best victory.
The 30-year-old raised eyebrows with a sixth-round stoppage of the then undefeated Lerrone Richards back in June last year, paving the way to a shot at Simpson and his domestic titles.
No stranger to making a mockery of the pre-fight odds, Woodall insists the Richards victory was more than a flash in the pan and that he’s here to stay beyond the weekend’s fight.
“It’s been a long road to get here. The small following I do have know what I’ve been through to get here and they know just how hungry I am, why I’m here today and why I deserve to be here.
“The fact that literally everyone has wrote me off again, I absolutely love it…I’m here to show why I deserve to be here.”
Woodall previously shared a ring with former Gennadiy Golovkin opponent Steve Rolls, whom he dropped in round three before being stopped a round later.
That fight, along with a ten-round unanimous decision loss to Padraig McCrory, is the only time he’s been on the losing side in his 22 professional fight career.
