Iron Mike Tyson
Former heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson picked out Nottingham’s Carl Froch when asked which boxers he admires in the sport, describing the former WBC super-middleweight champion as a “warrior”.
Froch, lost his world title to American Andre Ward in his last fight in May, but has the chance to win a world title for a third time when he takes on Lucien Bute for the Canadians IBF crown.

Froch has built a reputation of getting in the ring with the very best fighters in his division and his only other defeat was Mikkel Kessler on a close points defeat, Froch is now being given the credit he deserves, from his critics and peers alike.

Carl ‘The Cobra’ Froch

Froch will again fight at the very top level next month again, when he goes head to head with unbeaten IBF holder Bute and Iron Mike himself has now taken note of ‘The Cobra’s’ toughness.

Speaking to the Metro about which boxers he admires, picked Froch and tipped the Brit, to beat Bute and become world champion again.

“Your guy Carl Froch. He’s not the most gifted but it will take a very skillful man to beat him, he is a warrior, He will beat Lucien Bute.” said Tyson.
