Matchroom Boxing have confirmed that Katie Taylor will challenge Chantelle Cameron for the latter’s undisputed super-lightweight titles on May 20th.

The bout will take place in Taylor’s native Ireland at Dublin’s 3Arena as she bids to become undisputed in two separate weight divisions.

Eddie Hearn announced the fight alongside Cameron during the broadcast for Diego Pacheco v Jack Cullen in Liverpool.

Taylor was originally slated to rematch Amanda Serrano on the date following their fight of the year in April 2021.

The Puerto Rican was forced to withdraw from the bout through injury however and so Taylor’s attention turned to Northampton’s Cameron who she called out via Instagram last week.

Cameron responded swiftly with the two teams quickly coming together to agree a deal.

Victory over Jessica McKaskill saw Cameron tie all four major governing body belts together at 140lbs in November.

Taylor meanwhile holds all four titles at lightweight and previously held the WBO strap at super-lightweight following a victory over Christina Linardatou in 2019.

The fight will be Taylor’s first on Irish soil as a professional.
