Queensberry Promotions announced on Tuesday that super-middleweight Zach Parker will clash with fellow countryman John Ryder on November 26th.

London’s O2 Arena will host the intriguing domestic dust-up for the WBO ‘interim’ title which could crown the next mandatory challenger for Canelo Alvarez‘s WBO title.

The WBO initially called for Parker to face two-division champion Demetrius Andrade before the American pulled out of the clash.

Ryder, who edged out Daniel Jacobs in February, has already fought for world honours at 168lbs following a narrow defeat to Callum Smith in 2019. Parker meanwhile still awaits his first shot at a world title and will hope to move one step closer to his dream on November 26th.

The undercard will feature two Commonwealth title fights, first at super-bantamweight Dennis McCann come head-to-head with Glasgow’s Joe Ham for the vacant strap. Undefeated fighters Sam Noakes and Calvin McCord also contest for the vacant strap at lightweight.

Middleweight Hamzah Sheeraz and super-lightweight Pierce O’Leary are also set to feature, as well as top prospects Micky Burke (super-welterweight), Sonny Ali (super-lightweight) and Khalid Ali (welterweight).

Frank Warren promotes and BT Sport will televise.
