The newly-crowned undisputed super-lightweight champion Chantelle Cameron has thrown her name into the hat for a potential showdown with Ireland’s Katie Taylor.

Cameron emerged victorious against Jessica McCaskill last weekend to claim all four belts at 140lbs.

The Northampton fighter has now set her sights on a fight against pound-for-pound star Taylor for all the marbles in the division below.

In a post on Twitter, Cameron expressed her desire for what would be a huge showdown between two of the best female fighters on the planet.

“March 17th Croke Park Katie Taylor. Undisputed v Undisputed. If the [Amanda] Serrano rematch don’t happen I’ll be free.”

The Irish fighter is targeting a long-awaited homecoming bout at Dublin’s Croke Park for next year.

Taylor defeated Karen Carabajal at the end of last month and called for a second fight with Serrano following their fight of the year contender in April.

Taylor had her hand raised at the end of the affair via split-decision after an enthralling ten rounds at Madison Square Garden.
