IBF super-bantamweight champion Cherneka Johnson has been ordered to defend her world title against Britain’s Ellie Scotney next.

Johnson picked up the vacant title with a majority decision victory over Melissa Esquivel in Melbourne seven months ago.

The Australian defended the belt with a unanimous decision win over Susie Ramadan last month and has now been ordered to make her second defence against Catford’s Scotney.

The Brit defeated Mary Romero on October 29th to become European super-bantamweight champion in just her sixth outing.

Scotney reacted on Twitter with the message, “We asked & Eddie Hearn certainly delivered! Now it’s MY TURN.”
