Ciaran Gibbons talks to British champion Gary Buckland about how he got into boxing and why? And what is his big boxing dream from here and what does he hope to achieve in the game.
Buckland speaks about his relationship with trainer Tony Borg, who he has worked with since he was 14 years old at the St Joesph’s boxing club in Newport Wales. – Buckland talks about his ups and downs of his career and the defeats, that eventually he put behind him to win the British super-featherweight Lonsdale belt last year from Gary Sykes. – Another good interview from Ciaran!
The Welshman’s next fight will be the first defence of his title against Paul Truscott at The Ponds Forge Arena in Sheffield on March 24. Confident of a win, Buckland then sets his sights on a European title shot.
