Joe Costello a brilliantly gifted amateur and the youngest British boxer to win a European Gold Medal, is now ready to take his skills into the professional ranks and we cant wait to see him start his paid career.
Costello, 19, is a four time National champion and former world No1 at his weight and was voted BBC Young Spotsman of the Year in 2008.
The Birmingham boxer was down at Gallagher’s Gym (Amir Khan’s Gloves Community Centre, Bolton) with his dad, for professional sparring with Scott Quigg and Stephen Smith and will make his own pro debut on July 6th at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, against Mansfield based Latvian Pavel Senkovs.
Expect Big things from this lad when he hits the professional super-featherweight ranks, a smashing talent and a top tip for big things in the future.
