Boxing clubs in South Wales have a history of producing champions and binding communities. Its valleys once supplied the coal that powered Britain’s Industrial Revolution, but the region has grappled with unemployment and poverty since the mines closed down in the 1980s.

Amateur boxer Lance Cooksey takes us into the boxing ring to look at what the sport means to him and the communities in this area in this very nice short documentary.

See during the fight scene how the director has used the sound to capture the boxers moment, realistic how it goes deafeningly quiet then you can hear a pin drop or a familiar sound or voice at ringside, very well made piece, enjoy…
