REUBEN ARROWSMITH believes he is slowly becoming a super-welterweight powerhouse.

The stylish Market Harborough prospect, 20, has impressively blasted out his last two opponents and will be looking to make it a hat-trick when stars on Frank Warren’s stacked Cardiff show this Saturday night.

His experienced opponent, Ivica Gogosevic, is aas tough as they come and has previously mixed it with the likes of Frankie Gavin, Matt McCarthy, and Steve Jamoye.

But Arrowsmith believes his fledgling power could see him win inside the distance as well as turn a few heads in the 154lbs division.

“I’m still only 20 so I’m still developing and I feel I’m getting stronger and more powerful every day,” Reuben, 7-0 (2 KOs), said.

“A lot of people are commenting on how hard I’ve been hitting in my last couple of fights and I believe that’s because I’m getting my man strength now.

“I don’t know much about this opponent, but I’ll be aiming to take him out like I would be with any other opponent.

“I’m showing improvements with every fight and I want to take it up another level this weekend because fights like these are the stepping stones I need to get where I want to be.”

Saturday’s bill will see Arrowsmith box on live television for the first time as a pro and he’s keen to take advantage of the exposure.

“I’ve be trying to get an opportunity like this for a while so I can’t wait to show a new audience what I’m capable of. It’s one of the biggest shows of the year so it’s a privilege to be on it,” he said.

“Getting on TV is hard for me because there’s so many fighters at my weight and it’s not easy to stand out from the crowd, but hopefully I can put on a good performance turn some heads.”

Saturday’s card is a championship bonanza as Welsh hero and Young Boxer of the Year Liam Williams faces Gabor Gorbics for the WBO European crown at super-welterweight, Birmingham’s Tommy Langford clashes with Sam Sheedy for the vacant British middleweight bauble, Thomas Stalker and Craig Evans meet for the third time in a WBO European lightweight encounter, and Terry Flanagan makes the fourth defence of his WBO lightweight world title against Orlando Cruz.
