Newly-crowned bantamweight world champion Nina Hughes has signed a long-term promotional deal with Eddie Hearn‘s Matchroom Boxing and DAZN.
Hughes edged past American Jamie Mitchell over ten rounds in Dubai las month to claim the WBA version of the bantamweight title.
The 40-year-old added the belt to the Commonwealth title she won in just her third outing and now looks to potential unifications against the likes of IBF champion Ebanie Bridges.
Australia’s Bridges is also promoted by Matchroom and defends her world title versus countrywoman Shannon O’Connell this weekend in Leeds.
