Middleton welterweight Liam Taylor marks his 2023 return as he headlines at the Bolton Whites Hotel on Saturday.
The 32-year-old takes on Hungary’s Zoltan Szabo over ten rounds in the main event of General Sports Worldwide’s maiden show in the UK.
The card will be streamed live on BBTV‘s YouTube channel from 6:30pm – the link can be found at the bottom of this page.
Taylor, 25-2-1(12KOs), has fought twice since his second-round defeat to David Avanesyan in October 2021.
A six-round points win a month after the loss was built on with a fourth-round stoppage victory over Martin Harkin last October as Taylor looks to narrow down more title shots at 147lbs.
Manchester’s Jack Rafferty (19-0-0, 11KOs) also faces Nicaragua’s Greyvin Mendoza (7-3-1, 5KOs) over six at super-lightweight.
Rafferty, like Taylor, also fights for the first time this year as he continues to hunt domestic titles at 140lbs.
Magherafelt middleweight Mark Jeffers (14-0-0, 4KOs) also returns against Ukraine’s Serhii Ksendzov (4-13-0, 2KOs), while Manchester’s Zak Miller (11-0-0, 3KOs) faces Ruslan Berchuk (4-17-0, 4KOs) at featherweight.
Liverpool’s Rio Pierre also debuts at featherweight alongside Northumberland welterweight Callum Fenwick.
Both make their maiden bouts over four rounds.
