BOXXER and Sky Sports confirmed on Tuesday that the undisputed middleweight showdown between Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall has been rearranged for October 15th at London’s O2 Arena. The pair were set to settle their difference in the capital on September 10th before the passing of Queen Elizabeth II in two days out led to the British Boxing Board of Control’s decision to postpone all boxing that weekend.
The highly-anticipated all-American clash between Americans Mikaela Mayer and Alycia Baumgardner will also fill the chief support slot on the night, as was set to be the case two weeks ago, to crown the number one fighter at 130lbs.
