Khan and Malignaggi Promise Fireworks in the Garden

Amir Khan and Paulie Malignaggi weighed in ahead of there highley anticipated light-welterweight showdown tonight. Both have been trading verbal insults in the build up to the fight, but their mutual dislike of each other came to ahead, when they both faced off, which escalated into a shoving match, and a brwal with the rival camps and fans!

Tonight the fight is on for real They’ll finally exchange words for punches at the wonderful Mecca of boxing folklore, Madison Square Garden.

Khan will be defending his WBA version of the title in his first fight in the America, taking on former IBF champion and home town native New Yorker Malignaggi.

If promoters were having any trouble selling tickets, they got some help from the near-brawl that took place between the two boxers’ camps Friday at the Essex House. (watch the video above from www.BoricuaBoxing.com)

Betting odds on the fight www.fightingtips.co.uk have Khan favorite to retain his title on points, a result echoed by British Boxers. Both men have suffered stoppage defeats during their careers but this one should test the judges and Sporting Bet’s 13/10 about a successful defence on points looks like a sound investment.

Khan, who has 16 knockouts in his 22-1 professional record, has been heavily backed to KO Malignaggi, forcing Sky Bet to slash the odds to 7/2 (from 15/2).

Khan has been backed down to 11/10 (from 2/1) to win by any method in rounds 1-12 and is 1/6 (from 1/5) for outright victory.
