Rendall Munroe will have an army of fans following him to Japan in October despite facing a 12,000 mile round trip.
More than 100 of the Leicester binman’s friends have already booked flights so they can cheer him to victory when he challenges WBC super-bantamweight champion Toshiaki Nishioka (pic below) in Tokyo on Sunday October 24.
The fight is expected to draw a 10,000 sell-out crowd and tickets can be purchased from today on www.frankmaloney.com.
Ticket prices for fans wishing to make the trip are £55, £90, £170, £235 and £380 (RINGSIDE).

Munroe’s promoter Frank Maloney said: “I don’t know what the Japanese people will make of Rendall’s fans walking around town in florescent jackets.
“It will be a great trip for them all and the Japanese promoters really do want to welcome as many British fans as possible.
“Rendall tells me about one hundred people have already booked direct flights with Virgin Atlantic. They will have a great time.
“Nishioka’s people are very professional and they have a reputation for treating visitors with respect.”
The fight will be held either late morning or early afternoon British time and Maloney hopes to announce a British television deal before the end of this month.
There is every chance of it being screened live, but at worst I think it will be on a very short delay. Frank Maloney
