Emanuel Steward worried
To me, the confidence, the ambition, the burning desire of a fighter is a lot more dangerous to me than that of an experienced fighter. I’ve always felt that Chisora was a tough fight and I’m really not that super excited about it.” – Emanuel Steward
Emanuel Steward, the trainer for IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s), is concerned about his April 30th fight against unbeaten British heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) in their fight in Mannheim, Germany.

Unlike a lot of boxing fans and writers, Steward sees Chisora as a tough opponent for Wladimir and he has Steward worried.

Speaking to Reuters, Steward said “To me, the confidence, the ambition, the burning desire of a fighter is a lot more dangerous to me than that of an experienced fighter. I’ve always felt that Chisora was a tough fight and I’m really not that super excited about it.”

Chisora has a difficult style because of all the head and torso movement he uses. He’s very similar to Joe Frazier the way he moves his head and torso. If you’re a fighter that’s not used to that kind of movement, like Wladimir, it’s going to be potentially very difficult for Wladimir to land his shots.

LONDON, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 21: Wladimir Klitsc...
Even under the best of circumstances, Klitschko’s accuracy isn’t always good. And when Wladimir’s not certain he’s going to land, he often shuts down his offense and throws nothing but jabs. I’m sure Chisora will be happy to only have to worry about jabs on April 30th, because he won’t be throwing jabs.

Chisora will be looking to put pressure on Wladimir and land combinations in close. Chisora has already said that he’s going to continue to throw if Wladimir starts clinching, so it’s going to be tough on Wladimir. He’s going to have to fight without rest breaks and will need to find a way to land his right hand and left hooks if he wants to make this an easy fight.

If Chisora can find a way to turn this into an inside fight, he’s going to have an excellent chance of winning because Wladimir really has no inside game and is only now at this point in his career learning how to throw an uppercut.- source By Jim Dower:  www.boxingnews24.com
