Amir Khan ‘David Haye has the tools to take Wladimir Klitschko’

WBA light-welterweight champion Amir Khan predicts that countryman and fellow world champion David Haye, will be too quick, strong and possesses the tools to defeat Wladimir Klitschko in their heavyweight unification clash on July 2 in Hamburg Germany.

With the pre fight press conferences this week being frosty and both looking to rile the other with put downs, T Shirts and non shaking of hands, Khan told SkySports this week that Haye is strong mentally and that non of the pre fight hype will get to him and sees Haye taking advantage of Klitschko mistakes to unify the heavyweight belts.

“Mentally David Haye is a very strong fighter and all this is a big show for him. He has been in this position a lot of times and I know exactly how he thinks and when the fight comes he will be ready, more than ready.

“This is a massive fight for him a unification fight as an heavyweight and he is a very small heavyweight fighting a very big heavyweight, so he has to prove a lot in this fight and I think he’s got the tools to do it.

“Klitschko’s a very nice guy Ive met him, I dont think he has fought anyone as good as David as quick as David or as strong as David. He is arwkward with the style he has, that European style and he is very tall and big.

“He will look to keep David away with his jab, but I really think he will make a lot of mistakes, which he’s been making in the last few fights and I think David will take him.” added Khan.
